it will break my heart when the snow melts

I was thinking about it as the wind swirled the snowflakes around my face: snow has got to be the most beautiful thing ever. A white blanket draped over the lawns and roads, covering the trees... it's gorgeous. As the trees danced around me, and the snowflakes rested on top of my hair, I marveled at it all, and thanked God for such beauty.

It always breaks my heart when the snow melts. Like today, the sun came peaking over the tops of the trees and I swear, my heart ached. I love the snow, I really don't want it to melt away. It's always very depressing when you start to see patches of grass, or slush on the pavement.

Today I went sledding (on what was left of the snow) with my friends. We then went back to my friend's house and cooked up three boxes of mac & cheese (for all five of us were very hungry). It didn't snow today, but yesterday, and the day before that, the snow as beautiful. I watched from the big windows in my guest bedroom. The flurry of snow swirling and dancing about in the air. All white outside my window.

Tonight it is suppose to snow ten inches. You can imagine how excited I am. ♥
